Telstra has advised Council that it will be upgrading its mobile base station at Pheasants Nest to prepare the network for 5G coverage once the 3G network closes in August 2024.

The works will require a series of temporary outages or reduction in mobile coverage at various times from Thursday 25 July to Wednesday 31 July.

Construction of a new roundabout at Silverdale shopping centre, Silverdale Road, Silverdale is scheduled to commence on 17 June 2024 to 9 December 2024.

The roadworks will primarily be carried out between Econo Place and the Mobil Service Station.

During this period the speed will be reduced from 60km/h to 40km/h and during some of the stages there will be lane closures

The staged work is expected to take approximately 6 months to complete, weather permitting.
